Faculty and Students of Our School Shined at the 2025 University Sports Meeting

From April 25th to 26th, 2025, the playground of Beijing Normal University was bustling with excitement. The 2025 University Sports Meeting, themed "Sports: Integral to Education - Upholding Tradition, Innovating, and Strengthening through Fitness," kicked off amidst laughter and high spirits. Faculty and students of our School actively responded, devoting themselves to the competition with high morale and enthusiasm. They wrote a glorious chapter with their sweat and hard - work. Secretary Sun Zhijun and Associate Dean Hu Conghui of our School attended the opening and closing ceremonies of the sports meeting, and Associate Dean Jiang Jie participated in the formation parade.

During the entrance ceremony, three teachers held the School flag and a sign with the words "Managing State Affairs, Nurturing Commerce, and Promoting Culture" high, striding forward with pride. The cute little glutinous rice mascot waved its arms to greet the rostrum. The students also waved props with the image of the little glutinous rice mascot and elements of BNUBS. Wearing neat School uniforms, they marched towards the venue with vigorous steps to the passionate music. With smiles on their faces and full of energy, they fully demonstrated the positive and collaborative spirit of BNUBS, adding a beautiful scenery to the sports meeting.

On the competition field, the athletes of our School strived for the lead and achieved excellent results in various events. In the faculty sports events, Teacher Li Yingshu won the first place in the women's 800 - meter event in Group B. In the student team sports events, our Schoolwon the second place in the Transplanting and Harvesting event, the third place in the 3v3 Basketball Bullfight, the third place in the 20 - meter Frog Jump Relay, the fourth place in the Group A Aerobics, the fourth place in Taijiquan, the fourth place in Table Tennis, the fourth place in One - Minute Push - Ups, the fifth place in the 30X150m Ranking Run, the fifth place in the Men's 4x100 - meter Relay, the fifth place in the "River Dance", the fifth place in Badminton, the sixth place in the Men's 4X400 - meter Relay, the seventh place in the Women's 4x400 - meter Relay, the seventh place in One - Minute Sit - Ups, and the eighth place in the 36 - person Tornado. Xu Haoran and Li Wenjun ranked fourth and seventh respectively in the men's 800 - meter race. Zheng Yi and Rao Xizhuo ranked fifth and sixth respectively in the men's long jump. After two days of intense competition, the 2025 University Sports Meeting successfully concluded. Our School finally won the fourth place in the undergraduate Group A team competition of this university sports meeting, and also won the "Top Ten Group Performance Award" and the "Physical Health Excellence Award". These honors are not only an affirmation of the outstanding performance of the athletes from BNUBS on the field but also a commendation of the unity, collaboration, and hard - work spirit of all faculty and students in the School. In this university sports meeting, the faculty and students of our School interpreted the sports spirit of "Higher, Faster, Stronger" with their actions, demonstrating the youthful demeanor of the people from BNUBS who dare to challenge and surpass. It is believed that in future studies and lives, they will continue to carry forward this hard - work spirit and achieve more brilliant results in their respective fields.
